Macdonald Henderson ran out champions of the 2nd Annual Aldermore Invoice Finance World Cup.

The annual 5-a-side football event hosted by Aldermore Invoice Finance took place at the Power League football complex in Glasgow on Friday the 3rd of June 2011.

The final was contested by Macdonald Henderson and Accountancy firm BDO. The sides couldn't be separated at full time at 2 goals a piece and penalty kicks loomed. Macdonald Henderson held their nerve to win in sudden death spot kicks 7-6.

The event was played in a terrific spirit throughout and Aldermore's hospitality was once again second to none. A big thank you goes to Alan Anderson for organising the event and inviting the firm to participate.

Team captain Alan McKee and vice captain Philip Hannay would like to thank our guest stars and business providers(otherwise known as ringers) Douglas Pate form RBS, Douglas Austin from Seco Tools, Paul Leggatt from Catwalk Graphics, Scott Chittick from the Student loans Co. and Kenny Dunsmuir from Scottish Legal Accountants for their sterling efforts on the day.

We look to defending the shield next year.
