In the year of the Olympics and as Glasgow prepares for the Commonwealth Games 2014, Macdonald Henderson is delighted to advise of its partnership with the 5 x 50 Challenge.

What is The 5x50 Challenge?

A charity challenge encouraging people to run, walk, jog or cycle 5k every day for 50 days with the aim of changing habits for a lifetime. The challenge begins on the 9th September 2012 and finishes on the 28th October 2012 at the end of British Summer Time.

MH - Challengers

Several members of the MH team are experienced challengers and in the last year alone have competed in the Ignis Asset Management Womens 10k, the Sports Relief 6 Mile, the Race for Life, the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon, the Mens Health Forum Scotland 10k, the Paisley 10k Road Race, the Great Scottish Run 10k, the Glasgow Parkrun 5k, Strathclyde Park Parkrun 5k, the Mighty Deerstalker Rat Race 17k and the Glenlivet Cairngorms National Park 10k.

Some notable supporters included Dougie Vipond (musician and broadcaster), Mark Beaumont (adventurer), Dr Andrew Murray (Scottish Doctor and ultra runner), Roddy Riddle (international sports cyclist), Kaye Adams (broadcaster), Rhona McLeod (athlete and broadcaster), Nicky Marr (broadcaster) Michelle McManus (singer, actress and television presenter) and Mairi Rodgers (broadcaster).
